Global Initiatives
Every program we run is rooted in a single conviction: that families deserve more than temporary relief — they deserve lasting transformation. Our three core initiatives work in concert to address immediate needs, build resilience, and empower communities to thrive for generations to come.
Core Initiatives
Restoring stability, one family at a time.
Our Family Support Initiative provides comprehensive, wraparound services to families navigating crisis — from emergency housing assistance and financial counseling to mental health support and long-term case management. We walk alongside families not just in their moment of need, but through the full journey toward stability and self-sufficiency.
Rapid response when crisis strikes.
When disaster, conflict, or famine strikes, the Burd House Foundation International mobilizes quickly. Our Global Relief Network maintains pre-positioned resources and trained response teams in key regions, enabling us to deliver food, clean water, medical care, and emergency shelter within 72 hours of a crisis event. We operate in 34 countries across 6 continents.
Building futures that last beyond our presence.
True transformation is not delivered — it is cultivated. Our Community Empowerment Program invests in the long-term capacity of individuals and communities through education, vocational training, microenterprise development, and leadership formation. We believe every person has the potential to become an agent of change in their own community.
Additional Focus Areas
Scholarships, school supplies, and tutoring programs ensuring children in underserved communities can access quality education.
Mobile health clinics, maternal care programs, and preventive health education reaching remote and underserved populations.
Sustainable food programs including community gardens, nutrition education, and emergency food distribution networks.
Trauma-informed care, counseling, and restoration programs for survivors of abuse, trafficking, and displacement.
We have visited 34 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and beyond — but our approach is always local. We partner with community leaders, indigenous organizations, and local volunteers to ensure our programs are culturally sensitive, contextually appropriate, and community-owned. We are currently focusing on the southeast Asian region.
Because we believe the people closest to the problem are closest to the solution.
Your support — whether financial, vocational, or through volunteering — directly funds and fuels these programs. Together, we can reach more families, serve more communities, and build a more just and hopeful world.
